FAQs
What happens during a consultation call?
1
The consultation call will be a 15 minute phone call to understand why you are seeking therapy at this time and for me to share how I might be able to help you. The consultation call is important to see if we both feel we are the right fit for each other.
What happens during an intake session?
2
During an intake session, I will ask you questions about your mental health, physical health, support systems, and overall who you are as a person. We try to get these important baseline questions answered in the first session but there will always be time to continue to get to know each other. We can go at your pace.
How often and how long do people typically meet with a therapist?
3
This is completely dependent on your goals and situation. People meet with me anywhere from twice a week to once every other week. I am flexible to you needs, schedule and financial situation. Some people are in therapy for a short period of their life to work on specific goals. Others might stay in therapy for years due to finding it a helpful space to continue to reflect, challenge themselves and grow.
What is your cancellation policy?
4
There is no cancellation fee or charge for the consultation call. Please let me know as soon as you can if you need to cancel. The cancellation fee for scheduled sessions is a $50 charge if you let me know once we are in the 24 hour window. You can reach me via text, email or phone call to cancel or reschedule.
At this time, I only offer video chat or phone call sessions but may add in person option in the future.

What if I don’t know what to talk about or say?
This is a very common fear, but there is always something to talk about! My job as a therapist is to help guide and direct the conversation at times. Talking can be difficult, and I am also versed in ways we can connect and heal without talking like art therapy, movement, and learning other coping skills. Your job is to come to therapy and try your best to be open and present, I can help with the rest.
